Korean Ministry of Knowledge Economy December 26 released a report that South Korea’s per capita income for the realization of the $ 40,000 goal, the Korean government must fully support the development of software industry, to strengthen South Korea’s software industry’s market competitiveness.
reported that South Korea’s current IT industry from the current situation, all the IT industry, hardware industry in the proportion as high as 76%, IT service sector share of 17%, the proportion of the software industry is only 7%; and in the international IT market, the proportion of the software industry (30%) is much higher than the hardware industry (23%).
Korea Ministry of Knowledge Economy said South Korea’s exports in the IT industry has made a significant contribution to help South Korea achieve a per capita income exceeded $ 20,000 and $ 1 trillion in trade target. But in the long run, only the current hardware-based IT industry to shift to software-based form in order to further meet the market’s direction, in the world, occupies a leading position in the IT industry, and help South Korea’s per capita income 40 000 U.S. dollar and the trade size of $ 2 trillion in total goals.
